Oh the 80s… you can try to remake all of the great movies from the past, but you will never recreate the rad cheese that was so easily spread in that decade. I grew up on this stuff and as a daydreaming kid, I believed in magic and solving problems through dance, and that one day the popular guy would notice me. So what if popularity only lasts in high school and is based on perception only? For anyone who felt like the underdog, movies like “Sixteen Candles”, “Pretty In Pink”, “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun” and “Teen Witch” were our hope and entertained us thoroughly.
See for yourself!. Check out this amazing, ridiculous rap battle scene from 1989’s “Teen Witch”. You can try to replicate this stuff with all the reboots, but really, you’ll never be able to “top that”!
