People's Choice Awards Winners & Highlights

The PCAs are one award show you won’t have to worry if your kids are in the room while you watch.  There were no really risque performances, even though Iggy Azalea gave a sexy one wearing skin-tight  white singing “Beg For It”, and hosts Anna Faris and Allison Janney kept jokes pretty PG-rated.
Without the shock value of other award shows, the People’s Choice is a celebration and love for the fans’ favorites in movies, music, and TV.  While there will always be some who don’t agree with the winners, they’re probably the ones who didn’t take the time to vote. You snooze, your favorite stars lose!

While we enjoyed seeing stars like Adam Sandler, Melissa McCarthy, Robert Downey Jr., Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting, Chris Evans, and Favorite TV Icon Betty White, so many of the accolades were not given out at the show.  Awards like Favorite Movie Duo (Shailene Woodley & Theo James, “Divergent”), Favorite Movie Actress (Jennifer Lawrence), and Favorite TV Duo (Nina Dobrev & Ian Somerhalder, “The Vampire Diaries”) were not aired.

Our guess is People’s Choice only aired the winners who were actually in attendance. What happened to those days of sending in  video acceptance speeches? Surely, the fans that voted for these stars would appreciate seeing those beautiful faces thanking them rather than finding out on PeoplesChoice.com. Maybe I’m just old-fashioned, and dating myself, but back in my day before live streaming and all of these new ways to video chat were available, that’s how it was done.  You’d think it would be easier now, no?
End rant.  That aside, the PCAs were a fun, light-hearted night that celebrated positivity in the entertainment industry, and you know Half Full is all about that!
