About Bunny Love
Bunny Love is a cute, educational children’s book told from the point of view of Zuko Bunny, a real rescued chinchilla rabbit who became a very special part of author Sandy Lo’s life.
Zuko was rescued through Nashville Bunny Rescue in 2015 before finding his forever home with Sandy. Together, the two went on quite an adventure, moving from Nashville to New York and eventually to Florida.
Along the way, Zuko became much more than a pet. He inspired Sandy to learn about rabbit care, share what she learned with others, advocate for rabbits in need, and eventually turn his story into a book.
Through Zuko’s adorable perspective, Bunny Love helps introduce readers to the love—and responsibility—that comes with caring for a rabbit.
It’s a book about bunnies, but it’s also about rescue, compassion, responsible pet ownership, and giving animals the chance to feel safe and loved.

Meet the Bunny Behind the Book
Before there was Bunny Love, there was Zuko.
Zuko was a chinchilla rabbit rescued through Nashville Bunny Rescue in 2015. After Sandy adopted him, he became her companion through several chapters of her life—from Nashville to New York and eventually Florida.
His personality, his needs, and everything Sandy learned while caring for him inspired her to educate others about rabbits and advocate for proper rabbit care.
Zuko’s story became the inspiration for Bunny Love, and the book became a way to turn that love into something that could help other rabbits.
Today, every book purchased and every donation made in his honor helps carry that mission forward.

Behind Bunny Love
Bunny Love began with my own experience of loving and caring for Zuko.
When I adopted him, I quickly learned that rabbits are wonderful companions—but they’re also animals with very specific needs that people don’t always understand before bringing one home.
Zuko inspired me to learn, advocate, and share more about proper rabbit care. Creating a children’s book from his point of view felt like a natural way to introduce that message to families in a fun and approachable way.
But I wanted the book to do more than educate.
Because a rescue helped give Zuko his chance at a loving home, I wanted Bunny Love to help give back to the organizations doing that same work for other rabbits.
That’s why 100% of the proceeds from the book go toward supporting rabbit rescues. It’s my way of honoring Zuko and helping his story continue making a difference.
